Clan Tara takes a big drop in class for the 2m6f beginners chase, and with his stable continuing in good form it will be disappointing if he fails to grasp the opportunity. Paul Nolan’s son of Kayf Tara ran Pandorama close on his chase debut at Punchestown, form handsomely boosted by the winner since, but was well below his best when ridden forcefully back at the same venue last time.

Smoking Aces turned in a good effort when runner-up to Chicago Grey at Thurles last time and has a good chance to go one better int he 2m2f conditions hurdle. With Boolavogue and absentee, the useful Farringdon looks his chief threat – though he lacks an outing this term.

Wickham Street caught the eye in a hot contest behind Sports Line at Navan last time and could figure in the 2m1f beginners chase if the market speaks in his favour.

Sizing Mexico created a very favourable impression when successful on his only point-to-point outing, and with Nina Carberry a significant booking can continue the tremendous season being enjoyed by Henry de Bromhead in the bumper.
